TRAD TO ROCK’N'ROLL NIGHT

A great night took place on Saturday 19th November when a large crowd were entertained with some great local artists, Mummers and story tellers but the higtlight of the evening was the Loughgiel School of Irish Dancing who travelled from Ballymena Northern Ireland and put on a great display of dancing. A bigh thank you to all who supported the event.

TLT SOCCER TOURNAMENT 2011
The annual TLT Soccer Tournament took place on the 23rd of July 2011 at Ferrycarraig Park (Wexford Youths groud).
A twist on this year’s tournament is a celebrity match with a team captained by the legendary Paul McGrath (ooh ahh)… The full celeb line up included Paul McGrath, Liam Griffin, Mick Wallace, Damien FitzHenry, Tom Dempsey, Larry Murphy, Billy Walsh

Fun Cycle and Charity Horse Ride

TLT Soccer Tournament 2011
The annual TLT Soccer Tournament took place on the 23rd of July 2011 at Ferrycarraig Park (Wexford Youths groud), A twist on this year’s tournament is a celebrity mtach with a team captained by the legendary Paul McGrath (ooh ahh)… Also playing on Paul’s team were people with Cystic Fibrosis.  Click here for pictures.

Annual Charity Holistic Day
The annual charity holistic fair took place on Sunday, April the 10th at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford. This is the fourth year of this fantastic event hosted by Ann’s Angels of Wexford town. This event has grown immensely since it’s inception to include everything from aromatherapy, books, gems, crystals, natural soaps/candles, to mediums, angel card readers, the list goes on and on!

Heal-A-Thon
A very unique event occurs every year at this fair. Therapists from all over Ireland/Wexford very kindly donate their time and provide services from Massage, Reiki, Reflexology to other forms of energy healing and all the monies raised will go straight to both charities involved. With a big thanks to Terri & Ann for this great event and thinking of us this year again!

San Francisco Swim

Other Events
The Annual Cabaret and Dance once again took place in the Talbot Hotel on Friday 25th February. This year was once again a great success. A big thank you to all the artists who give their time free of charge especially Route 66.
The triathlon (row, cycle, run) proved a big success again. A big thank you to the Bridges brothers.
Tracie’s Walk was first held from Castlebridge to Wexford town 2009 and proved to be hugely popular. A number of people revealed they couldn’t take part on the day because of previous commitments, but that they would be sure to book the 2012 date in their diary.

Table Quiz
With thanks to Larry O’Neill who held a table quiz in Wexford Golf Club, was a great night!

Dublin City Marathon
Big thanks to Sinead Quirke-Ryan and Matt Doyle whom both ran the marathon in aid of the TLT4CF. For pictures click here.

Whitford Celebrity Bainisteoir Bootcamp
30 people took on the recent Bootcamp Challenge organised by Whitford House Hotel with four other charities benefiting. Our team mentor was Larry Murphy and the team consisted of Philomena Lawlor, Catriona Whelan, Siobhan Devereux Doyle, Sean Murphy, Paul Murphy and Alan Boland. see gallery for photos.

Dunk Tank Challenge
Dunk Tank Challenge in the Music Factory was a great success, a big thank you to Peter (Music Factory) and Gary Sheahan (Wexford Youths). A bigh thank you also to George Lawlor, Gizzy Lyng, David Breen, Mick Wallace and Larry Murphy – the brave celebrities who got wet for the cause. Click here for photos

65 Roses CD
A CD titled “65 Roses” will be launched in the Talbot Hotel on Wednesday 11th November. Tony Jeffers PRO for the Trust has organised the CD and Paddy Murphy of Axill Studio, New Ross has recorded the CD free of charge. It contains 20 tracks and is great value for €10. The title track as already been played on South East Radio. Click here for photos

The Streets of Wexford
Celestine Rafferty launched Nicky’s new publication “The Streets of Wexford” in Hughes and Hughes last Thursday 8th October to a packed house. Celestine paid tribute to Nicky for his great work in producing such an interesting book about the streets of Wexford and she also paid tribute to the work done by the TLT. Nicky dedicated the launch to his father Nicholas who sadly passed away during the week. Nicky has kindly donated the royalites to the TLT Trust. Here is a piece from the Introduction of the book, and I am sure it will be very interesting to the people of Wexford at home or abroad, a good Christmas present. Click here for photos

Oulart Vintage Rally and Field Day July 5th
The Oulart Vintage Rally took place on Sunday 5th July in Kyle Cross Oulart. Even though the weather was not as good as expected, a big crowd still turned up to see the items on show. Some of the events  included Steam Threshing, Vintage Tractors and Cars, Stationery Engines, Working Models.  
There was also a Monster Doy Show – Traditional crafts include, Buttermaking, Blacksmith at work, Weaving and Wood Lathe Turning. At 3 o’clock there was a Taekwondo display by John Philips and his gang. 
Great credit must go to Mick Sinnott, Sean Byrne and the committee for making the day a great success. Click here for photos

Truck Fest Weekend August 15th-16th
This years Truck Festival at Enniscorthy Marts Ground on the 14th-16th of August with thanks to Billy Codd and Bob Van Laake was a great day! Ladies Mini Marathon

Golf Classic
Due to circumstances beyond Larry’s control, he was unable to go ahaead with the Golf Classic last Friday. Larry would like to apologise to everyone concerned.

Crossabeg Annual Charity Soccer Match
